General Information
Below you will find all of the services I offer at GS Salon. Are you a new client or has it been over a year since your last appointment? If so please book a consultation so we can meet in person to come up with a custom plan for your hair and to collaborate on your goals so you are fully prepared. For any questions feel free to call or text 929.289.0900.
Location
I am located at 117 9th St Brooklyn, NY 11215 Suite 226 near the Smith 9th G train. The front door requires a code which I will provide the day of your service. If you are a new client please text me once you have arrived so I can greet you and show you to my suite. If you are a returning guest please make your way to my suite as soon as you arrive and enjoy a beverage and WiFi in my waiting area. Street parking can be difficult to find depending on the day and time so make sure you give yourself extra time prior to your appointment if you are driving. (Please be careful about parking in the Lowe’s parking lot- towing might occur.)
Atmosphere
At Get Savy Salon I only take one guest at a time which means my attention and focus will be only on you during our appointment. I offer WiFi, beverages, chargers, and food pick up from the front of the building (Claudio’s Bakery & Coffee is located at the entrance and is open to all guests Monday-Friday/Saturday.) Please note that I work solo which will allow you to have whatever experience you are looking for; a peaceful and quiet space to work remotely or to read or catch up with your daily doom scroll or to banter and receive some free therapy. (Please click the quiet appointment option during your time of booking or notify me before starting if you would like quiet time throughout your appointment.) GS Salon also provides a liberal discount of 20% off for every referral. (Can be applied to any service besides color corrections, extension services, raw hair or take home products.)
Payment
I accept all forms of payment but cash is preferred. Venmo, Zelle and credit card payments will include a five dollar electronic transaction fee.
Policies
Late Policy- Life happens which is why I have placed a fifteen minute window to accommodate any issues with trains etc. I always appreciate a text or call to let me know if you are running late. Beyond fifteen minutes your appointment will be rescheduled so it does not affect my appointments for the rest of the day.
Cancellations/Rescheduling- If you have to cancel, reschedule or make changes to your appointment for any reason please do so within 48 hours of your appointment to avoid being charged 50% of the service. No call no show will result in no longer being able to book with me in the future.
Children and Pets - Unfortunately I can no longer allow pets in my salon due to the new 2024 laws passed by the NY board of cosmetology. I want to make sure that clients with allergies get to have the same luxurious experience as everyone else. I would love to do your child’s hair however I currently do not have a proper set up that is adjustable for children so that I can give a haircut that is comfortable for your child and ergonomical for me. (This might have potential to change once I expand my space!
Disclaimer- Pricing and timing vary per project depending on the length and density of your hair. Services received cannot be refunded. I also reserve the right to refuse any service if I see that it will not be in your best interest. Your satisfaction is my number one priority and I cannot wait to work with you!
